Dental Implants in Melbourne are shaping up good!
Losing a tooth or multiple teeth has got to be on everybody’s list of bad dreams. Sadly, it can sometimes become a reality and finding a way to deal with this trauma can be essential for some people’s mental health. People can lose their confidence and find their self-esteem is diminished when they’ve lost teeth and finding a comfortable and effective solution doesn’t always seem easy. But gone are the days of having to choose dentures!
At High Dental Implants Melbourne, we’re proud to offer dental implants that are effective, sustainable and should give you back pride in your smile – that’s what we want for our patients and it’s why we’re Word of Mouth Service Award winners for three years running.
Dental Implants in Melbourne: What are they?
Dentures can be loose fitting and uncomfortable, but with dental implants, screws are fitted into the jaw which attaches to them making them a part of the jaw itself. After this process, which normally takes around 6 months, we then attach a crown, bridge or denture to the implant. Once these are attached, your implants will look completely natural and you can eat and drink as normal. Regular brushing and flossing is still required to keep them looking good, just like natural teeth!
We offer a cutting edge treatment for a whole replacement set of teeth with our All-in-Four treatment. This is where your whole mouth’s teeth can be replaced using just four implants. We place two implants in the top and two in the bottom and that’s it! The result is fast, effective and provides comfortable teeth that are stable and there to stay!
Dental implants in Melbourne have been seen to produce a more youthful appearance on people’s faces because when you have lost teeth, your face can sometimes shrink. By putting teeth back into the jaw, it helps to fill out your face again and can give you the healthy glow you want to accompany your new smile!
Can everybody have implants?
Most people will be able to have dental implants. For some people who have worn dentures a lot, they may have suffered bone loss. This can mean that there isn’t enough bone to attach the implant to in the jaw. However, never fear! Dental implants can still be fitted after a bone graft which is usually carried out at hospital. This involves taking a sample of bone from your chin or hip. By rebuilding your jaw, it ensures an implant can be fitted, but it also prevents your face from shrinking.
Excited or nervous?
We know that some people will read this and feel thoroughly excited at the thought of a fast and effective solution to missing teeth. For others, we also know it can be daunting. If this is you, we offer sedation and pain medication whilst you undergo treatment, administered by our trained anaesthetist. So, whoever you are, you can come and sit back while we give you a smile that will shine the way you deserve it to.
All treatment carries risks. Individual consultation is required with one of our practitioners to ensure that the treatment is right for you.
